A Message Regarding COVID-19

After some careful consideration, AEP has decided it is in the best interest to postpone any scheduled workshops. The health and wellness of you and your staff remain one of our top concerns.  If you have any questions, please reach out to us via our contact page.

In the meantime, there is a wealth of information out there that you can use to remain prepared. Here are just a few of the sources we trust for updates on this developing situation.

  • The Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) - The CDC’s website is currently catered to information about the coronavirus outbreak, along with special instructions on more specific topics like sheltering in place and social distancing. As the country’s main functioning disease control organization, any pertinent news from inside the country should be found here.

  • The World Health Organization (WHO) - As a world leader in disease control and mitigation, the WHO is up to date on the latest COVID-19 news throughout the world. Aside from publishing statements issued by international health regulation committees, one major feature outside of breaking news is the COVID-19 Situation Dashboard featuring a literal worldwide picture of the situation at hand.

  • The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) - While FEMA doesn’t cater to disease control specifically, developments involving the novel coronavirus have led the federal government to declare a national emergency. Especially in the coming months, the FEMA site will be a good source for information regarding recovery efforts throughout the nation.

  • Reddit’s /r/Coronavirus subreddit - One of the most visited websites in the world, Reddit has become a major portal for forums regarding virtually any topic. Their coronavirus-specific page has been monitoring the spread of the disease for the past few weeks, and includes daily discussion posts that field questions and display experiences from real people around the world.

  • Lastly, social media accounts run by your local government agencies are an indispensable source of critical information, as the information provided will be specifically tailored to happenings and updates occurring closest to you. Twitter is a major resource here, as well as your local city/town's Facebook page.

Once again, the decision to postpone all scheduled classes was not made lightly, as it adds another wrinkle in the plans of many of our treasured clients. In the meantime, be safe, be prepared.
