LISTEN: Lifeline 911 Ep. 39: "Leadership Expectations" Ft. AEP's Justin Prescott

On the latest episode of the Lifeline 911 Podcast, co-host Erica Roberts sits down with AEP Director of Operations Justin Prescott about how a person in a leadership position at an emergency telecommunications center should be expected to act, and the responsibilities they should be anticipating on a daily basis. Success is implemented from the top down, and an effective leader can often mean the difference between life and death in our line of work.

From the episode’s description:

Regardless of what kind of industry that you work in, there are going to be people who have positions of leadership within the organization to help ensure the success of the group and of the individuals. It is very important for these leaders to be clear and consistent in the organization's goals, and also important is the feedback they receive from subordinates on how to better serve them. An emergency call center is no different in this aspect, save for the very real fact that poor performance does not hurt a bottom line, but can be deadly. Joining us this week to discuss the topic is Justin Prescott from American Emergency Preparedness, as well as an emergency communications supervisor in Waltham.

Co-hosted by AEP instructor Erica Roberts, the podcast explores a wide range of topics related to emergency preparedness, including expert interviews, practical tips, and real-life stories. Whether you're a seasoned dispatcher or just started your emergency communications career, Lifeline 911 is here to provide valuable insights and guidance to help you navigate this job field.
