AEP Director of Research Paul Bourgeois Featured on IAED's Dispatch in Depth Podcast

Recently, our Director of Research Paul Bourgeois,Ph.D., CRC, NCC was featured on the International Academies of Emergency Dispatch (IAED)’s ‘Dispatch in Depth’ podcast, where he discussed the parallels between emergency dispatchers and counselors, as well as first steps a 911 dispatcher can take towards improving the mental health climate in their agency.

“It was very humbling to share my work with such a large audience,” he states. “Ultimately, my goal in sharing my work on a platform such as Dispatch in Depth is to help raise awareness related to the mental health needs of emergency dispatchers. This is particularly important for a field that has historically stigmatized mental health issues and concerns.”
